Over the last years the Christmas fair in the Cologne Cathedral has set up as an attractive place in Cologne during Christmas time. In the shade of the Cologne Cathedral free Open air concerts take place daily from 18 o'clock. Under the leadership of the famous musician Giacomo di Benedetto several music bands divert the visitors and invite them for staying with soul, gospel and pop music. However, also by day a diverse stage programme comes up to the visitors. For the inhabitants of Cologne  the stage forecourt meanwhile has become their evening meeting place while the tourists enjoy the special atmosphere of the Open-Air Christmas Special
